Haiti earthquake: EDF Group mobilises to bring aid to disaster victims

EDF's Board of Directors met on 13 February 2013 under the chairmanship of Henri Proglio and approved the financial statements and the consolidated accounts for the financial year ending on 31 December 2012.

EDF Renewable Energy, EDF Energies Nouvelles' US subsidiary, announces the commissioning of two new wind power plants, Bobcat Bluff and Shiloh IV, with an installed capacity respectively of 150 MW and 102.5 MW. Both wind power plants were commissioned at the end of December.

EDF SA's Board of Directors, meeting on 30 July 2012 under the chairmanship of Henri Proglio, approved the Group's condensed consolidated financial statements for the half-year ended 30 June 2012.

The Research and Development department of EDF and the Research and Innovation department of Veolia (VERI) signed today a Memorandum of Understanding with the Housing Development Board of Singapore (HDB).

EDF is the official partner and electricity supplier for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, which will be held in London from 27th July until 12th August and from 29th August until 9th September 2012. The largest electricity producer in the UK, the Group will be supplying carbon-free electricity, 80% of which will come from British nuclear power plants and 20% from renewable sources of energy.

The EDF Corporate University for Management, which caters for the group's 12,000 managers, has just won the 13th Corporate University Xchange Prize for Excellence and Innovation, a global benchmark in terms of corporate learning.

EDF joined forces with Idinvest Partners, a well-known expert when it comes to funding SMEs, to create a venture capital fund called Electranova Capital. The aim of this fund, endowed with a minimum investment capacity of €60 million, is to encourage the emergence of innovative projects focusing on new technologies with a view to embracing the challenge of a low-carbon energy model, for both energy production and usage.

EDF's sales in the first quarter of 2012 totalled €20.8 billion, showing6.5% organic growth compared to the first quarter of 2011. France contributed to the growth in sales, with 5.1% organic growth, as did theinternational segment, with 8.7% organic growth.
