Laos: inauguration of the Nam Theun 2 hydroelectric complex, built by EDF for NTPC
The Nam Theun 2 hydroelectric complex in Laos was inaugurated by Choummaly Sayasone, President of Laos, and Abhisit Vejjajiva, the Prime Minister of Thailand, on 9th December 2010 in the presence of Pierre LELLOUCHE, Secretary of State with responsibility for Foreign Trade, and Henri PROGLIO, Chairman and CEO of the EDF Group.
EDF Appoints Eric Bret as President & CEO of EDF Inc.
EDF S.A. (“EDF”) today announced the appointment of Eric Bret as President & CEO of EDF Inc., with senior executive responsibility for EDF’s new nuclear project in the US market through UniStar and for EDF’s ownership interest in Constellation Energy Nuclear Group, the joint venture with Constellation Energy, regarding five existing nuclear reactors in the US.

EDF: Sales for the first 9 months of 2010
EDF Group sales totalled € 52.9 billion at 30 September 2010, up 9.5%. This evolution includes positive scope effects of 4.6% associated with acquisitions made in 2009 and a favourable foreign exchange effect of 1.1% due to the depreciation of the euro.
EDF and Constellation Energy Announce Comprehensive Agreement
EDF S.A. ("EDF") and Constellation Energy ("Constellation") (NYSE: CEG) today announced that the companies are pleased to have reached a comprehensive agreement that restructures the companies' partnership, eliminates the outstanding put option and establishes the full ownership of UniStar Nuclear Energy by EDF. The comprehensive agreement was approved by the boards of directors of both EDF and Constellation.

New step towards sustainable mobility: Launch of the Plug-in Hybrid Vehicle demonstration in Strasbourg
Toyota, French energy provider EDF, and the City and the Urban Community of Strasbourg today launch a large-scale Plug-in Hybrid Vehicle demonstration in Strasbourg. The project involves about 100 Plug-in Hybrid Vehicles (PHVs) as well as a dedicated charging infrastructure for the use of public and private partners in Strasbourg and its region. It has received support via the Research Fund managed by the French Environment and Energy Management Agency ADEME.
